Pleasant restaurant on the road from Kata to Rawai Beach offering incredible value for money. It may be close to the road but the gardens and with a small fountain and lily pond provide a relaxed dinner setting.We dined well for a total 240 Baht – less than $5. Two Sang Som, the local rum with Coke, 30 Baht each, gung makham, the shrimp in tamarind sauce 90 Baht, gai pad king, pork in a tangy ginger sauce 70 Baht and two plates of steamed rice at 10 Baht each. On Friday nights they offer an all you can eat barbecue for 100 Baht. That doesn’t operate in high season. Bargains abound in the area. Just down the street Bruno’s bakery has a complete American breakfast for 100 Baht. And they sell excellent bread, too.
